Your Sexual Health
Although no condom can guarantee 100% effectiveness, they are highly effective against pregnancy, and can reduce the risks of transmission of HIV infection (AIDS), and many other STIs such as chlamydia, genital herpes, genital warts, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, and syphilis. To get the most protection from a latex condom, use a new one correctly every time you have sex. See directions for use on the inside of the carton.
- Immediately after ejaculation, hold the rim of the condom in place and withdraw the penis while it is still erect.
- Dispose of a used condom by wrapping it in tissue and throwing it into the trash. Wash your hands with soap and water.
